Access keys
You can quickly get to some parts of our site using keyboard shortcuts.
The shortcuts available are:
- s – Skip all navigation and go straight to the main content on the page
- 1 – Home page
- 2 – News page
- 4 – Search form
- 8 – Terms of use page
- 9 – Contact page
- 0 – Accessibility details page
Using the access keys
Activating the access keys depends on which web browser you’re using.
In Internet Explorer for Windows, press the ALT key at the same time as the number and then press the ENTER button.
In Firefox prior to version 2, press the ALT key at the same time as the number.
In Firefox version 2 and higher, press the SHIFT and ALT keys at the same time as the number.
In Safari, press the CTRL key at the same time as the number.
In Opera, press the SHIFT and ESC keys and then the number.
Please note that not all browsers support these keyboard shortcuts.
The MDDA web site uses the UK Government accesskeys standard, which is part of the Illustrated Handbook for Web Management Teams.
